Telstra developed the DSL Transfer to improve the efficiency of DSL service transfers between participating DSL Service Providers. The process allows DSL services to be transferred in “one step” (as opposed to the “two steps” of disconnection and reconnection) thereby reducing downtime in the DSL Service during transfer.
What this means to you is that you can transfer your Broadband to Jump network very easily by following the steps below.
- Do not cancel your ADSL Broadband with your current Internet Provider
- Signup to Jump Network.
- We will have your existing ADSL Transferred to our network
- A day before your Transfer is to be completed, you will be emailed your new Username and Password
- Once you receive your completion email you may then contact your previous Internet Provider to let them know you have churned away.
If you have already cancelled your account with your existing provider and they have put in an order to have your ADSL codes removed from your service number the Fast Churn will fail. That is because Telstra will take the orders on your line in order of when they were received.
You may change the speed of your service during this process. For example, if you are currently on a 512K plan with your existing provider, you may change to any other speed, eg 256K at no cost.
Before transferring your ADSL Broadband to Jump Network, you must ensure that you are under no contractual obligations with your existing internet provider. If you incur any exit fees, or any other fees for canceling a current contract, it is your responsibility.
